Introduction

Kim Taehyung, known under his stage name V, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, composer, producer, and actor under Big Hit Entertainment and HYBE Labels. He is best known as one of the vocalists and visuals of the worldwide sensation boy group BTS.

When he was just fifteen years old, V accompanied his friend to audition at Big Hit Entertainment. He was only there to support his friend, but an executive noticed him and encouraged him to audition. Since V had no plans of auditioning, he had to call his parents to ask for permission. He ended up passing the audition and became an official trainee.

In 2013, V made his official debut with BTS and went on to become one of the most popular and loved artists of his generation.

Besides performing, V also took on acting projects. He debuted as an actor in late 2016 through the historical drama “Hwarang.”

On September 8, 2023, V made his official solo debut with the mini album “Layover.” The album debuted at No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Two songs from the album ”Love Me Again” and the title track ”Slow Dancing” debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart, while ”Slow Dancing” becoming his at the time, third and highest entry on the chart.
