Oh My Girl is a South Korean girl group formed by WM Entertainment. The group originally debuted with eight members on April 20, 2015, with the self-titled extended play “Oh My Girl” and its lead single “Cupid”. They were promoted as the sister group to B1A4, another act under the same label.
The group gained early attention in 2016 when they held their first solo concert “Summer Fairy Tales” on August 20–21. Tickets for the show sold out in just three minutes, setting a record at the time for the fastest sold-out concert by a rookie girl group. This achievement marked a turning point in their rising popularity within the kpop industry.
In January 2018, Oh My Girl released their fifth mini album “Secret Garden”, which significantly boosted their commercial and critical recognition. The group earned their first music show win on The Show and secured another on Show Champion the following day, solidifying their presence in the competitive idol landscape.
In 2019, Oh My Girl competed in the survival reality program Queendom, where they showcased strong performances and consistent growth. They ultimately finished as the 1st runner-up, which led to increased exposure and a stronger international fanbase.
Despite lineup changes—JinE’s departure in 2017 due to health reasons and Jiho’s exit in 2022 following the end of her contract—the group continues to promote as a six-member team.
In 2025, members Hyojung, Mimi, Seunghee, and Yubin renewed their contracts with WM Entertainment. The agency also announced that YooA and Arin had decided not to renew their contracts. However, it was stated that despite the expiration of their exclusive contracts, both YooA and Arin would continue their activities as members of Oh My Girl.
To commemorate the group’s 10th debut anniversary, a special single titled “Oh My” was released on April 9, 2025. A special concert, “‘Milky Way”, was also held at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park. The event marked the group’s first standalone concert in over six years, following their last solo concert, Fall Fairy Tales, held in October 2018.
