Introduction

MEOVV (pronunced as “meow”) is a five-member South Korean girl group under The Black Label.

First announced on February 6, 2024, MEOVV, then known as “The Black Label New Girl Group”, gained a lot of interest among netizens for being the first ever group of the agency, as well as previous photos of potential trainees spread online, including some already known faces in the industry.

Though it was announced by The Black Label that the group would debut in the first half of 2024, news about them only started coming on August 16 with the opening of differents SNS accounts, revealing the group name to be MEOVV.

MEOVV announced the members one by one from August 21 to August 29, 2024, starting with Ella on August 21, followed by Gawon on August 23, Sooin on August 25, Anna on August 27, and lastly Narin on August 29.

Prior to their debut, Ella was already known for being a child model and actress, and Gawon and Anna for being models.

On August 28, 2024, it was announced that MEOVV signed an exclusive contract with Capitol Records for global activities.

A day before their debut, on September 5, 2024, The Black Label launched a new app called “Churrrr”, exclusively for the group. It was described as an official fan platform, which would allow the girls and fans to interact.

MEOVV finally made their awaited debut on September 6, 2024, with the single “MEOW”.
