Introduction

Kwon Ji-yong, better known under the stage name G-Dragon, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, producer and fashion designer under Galaxy Corporation. He is a member of the boy group BIGBANG and its sub-units GD&TOP and GD X TAEYANG.

At the age of 7, he debuted in a kids group called ‘Little Roora’. After the group’s disbandment, he joined SM Entertainment as a trainee when he was 8 but left for YG Entertainment 4 years later.

He made his solo debut with the album “Heartbreaker” in 2009.

G-Dragon began his two-year mandatory military service on February 27, 2018, by entering the 3rd Infantry Division’s boot camp in Gangwon province as an active duty soldier, where he was set to be discharged on October 26, 2019, after completing the requirements. On October 26, 2019, G-Dragon was officially discharged from the military.
